Know Your Mentor

Hi!

I am Sukhmani—your mentor-cum-friend—and my introduction goes like this . . .

Being from a family of teachers, I always wanted to be like them. So, after completing my graduation (BCom Honours) and postgraduation (MCom), I wanted to become a professor. But unfortunately, couldn’t clear UGC-NET in Commerce (Almighty has his own plans!). Determined to be in the education field, I did Bachelor in Education (BEd) and then Master in Education (MEd) in Educational Technology from Panjab University, Chandigarh (securing third position in the university). In the same year, I also cleared UGC-NET in Education and joined a BEd college as an assistant professor in the Teaching of Commerce and Economics.

As always eager to learn more, I further did research in the field of Educational Technology on the concept of Blended Learning from the Department of Education, Panjab University, and completed my PhD in 2019.

Out of my own choice, I work on my own now which includes designing educational websites on MOODLE, providing assistance to scholars in their data-analysis work, and proofreading documents (i.e., theses, dissertations, papers, questionnaires, etc.) as per APA Style.

On personal side—apart from being an avid reader—I love doing embroidery (cross stitch), baking, watching movies, and exploring new places.
